Radiology Assistants support radiologic technologists and technicians with imaging procedures. They prepare patients for procedures, position them correctly, and provide support during the process.
Role and Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process to them.
Position patients correctly and ensure that they are comfortable during the procedure.
Assist with the operation of imaging equipment and ensure that images are of high quality.
Provide support to patients during procedures and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a radiology assistant training program.
Certification in radiography preferred.
Skills Needed:
Knowledge of radiology procedures and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
