The Government Sales Executive/Manager is responsible for identifying, bidding, and securing business opportunities from government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and institutions. The role involves tender management, liaisoning with government bodies, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and documentation standards.
Identify and pursue sales opportunities in central, state government, and PSU segments
Prepare and submit tenders, EOIs, and RFPs in line with government norms
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government departments
Follow up on tender status, pricing negotiations, and post-sales documentation
Ensure timely delivery, invoicing, and payment collections
Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, certifications, and product compliance
Stay updated with government procurement portals (e.g., GeM, eProcurement)
In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes and portals
Strong communication and presentation skills
Documentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills
Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines
Familiarity with GeM portal is a plus
