The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment used in hospitals or diagnostic centers. The role ensures that all equipment is functional, safe, and compliant with healthcare standards.
Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment such as ECG, ventilators, defibrillators, dialysis machines, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, etc.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and equipment functionality.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and service history.
Provide technical support to clinical staff and train them on equipment usage.
Coordinate with vendors for AMC, warranty, and parts replacement.
Participate in audits and support documentation for equipment validation.
Assist in budgeting and procurement of biomedical equipment.
Technical knowledge of medical equipment
