Job Summary:
The Purchase Assistant is responsible for supporting the procurement of materials and supplies required by the organization. This includes maintaining vendor relationships, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely procurement as per the requirement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders (POs).
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, pricing, and availability.
Maintain and update purchase records and inventory stock levels.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
Compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines to ensure cost-effective purchases.
Assist in GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entries and documentation.
Support internal departments with procurement needs.
Maintain documentation for audit and compliance.
Qualifications:
Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / related field
1–2 years of experience in a purchase or procurement role
Skills Required:
Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP or inventory software
