Job Summary:
The Business Development Officer for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) is responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of IVD solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the IVD industry, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build strategic partnerships.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand market share in the IVD industry.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and cold calling.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, laboratories, and distributors.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
Present IVD solutions to potential clients, showcasing product benefits and technical advantages.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients to close sales and secure long-term partnerships.
Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional materials, product demonstrations, and campaigns targeting specific customer segments.
Monitor and track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to network, learn, and represent the company.
Work closely with the customer support and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of IVD solutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in all business dealings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the healthcare or IVD industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong understanding of the IVD market, products, and regulatory environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
